Today i will share you how i touch up my roots and touch up my hair color, this color is literally the perfect hair color for the fall. dye hair tutorial – how dye hair burgundy without bleach
What is your need to prepare ?
So the things that you will need are of course the color and the color that i use is from l’oreal hicolors, this is in magenta and red, it’s specifically for dark hair, so i like to leave it on longer, just so i can lift it a little bit brighter.
Then i also use 40 volume cream developer this is from wella, but i don’t have that much of this one so, i’m also going to take some of the salon care 40 volume cream developer.
i’m going to use my little mixing bowl right here
Semi-permanent hair dye
Then once i get it like kind of bright i like to add this temptation red velvet kiss semi-permanent hair dye, this is what will give it like that purpley grape red look in the sunlight and like if you’re just chilling in the house it still won’t look like that grapey purpley burgundy color i love love it
You’re also going to need some gloves, because this i mean it’s dye, so if your nails are just done like you got a fresh set, if you don’t care, you don’t have to use gloves, but i like to use gloves
i’m going to use a old towel, just to put around me, so that it doesn’t stain my bra or get anywhere else that i don’t want it to be.
Scrunchies or Clips
you’re also going to need like four scrunchies or four clips to section your hair off

Mixing the color dyes
So pretty much what i like to do is take half of the red, i split it up between each section of the bowl, so i’ll put half of the red on one side and squeeze half of the red on the other side, then do the same with the magenta squeeze half on one side and half on the other side.
Just so that i can have enough, because i do like to make enough for my whole head of course and personally i like using the l’oreal hicolor dyes, because you don’t have to bleach your hair. i mean you’re still using chemical on the developer to make it lighter, but you don’t have to bleach your hair.
So i add the developer and i like to take a good bit of it, because you want it to be loose, but not like super loose and then i just mix it up, i don’t want it to be this thick, i want to be a little bit looser.
How i like the looseness, so i wanted to at least be like this, it wasn’t being able to be runny, but i don’t want it to be where i can’t like move it.
Apply the mixture on the hair
i went ahead and sectioned off my hair in four sections, i always start with the back section first because it’s just easier. how i do it i usually just like to take my hand and apply the mixing on the hair, not the little brush.
After i left mixture on the hair 30 minutes, this is how it is looking, i am definitely going to have to do a deep conditioner to revive my curls and like just to bring it some moisture back to my hair and stuff, but now i want to dry my hair off, just a little bit more, because i don’t want it to be dripping.
Apply Semi-permanent hair dye on the hair
What i’m about to do is add this to my permanent hair dye, this is red velvet, so since this has a little spout on it. I just go all over, so i am going to do the same thing where i part down the middle and put my hair in sections, i’m gonna do four because, i don’t want to miss anywhere then i’m going to start on my ends this time and then work my way to the root.
This stuff is really runny like make sure you have something on your pants, like a towel or something, because this part gets really messy, just make sure i have every strand coated so i’m just really working it in there. I’m like you could leave it like this red it looks fine, but i personally like that burgundy purple color.
I’m going to leave this on for about 10 minutes, i’m not gonna put a cap on, because with the cap like the heat makes it process really quick, so i’m just going to leave it out like this, i’m just finishing up working on this section, make sure all hair are covered it and then i’m gonna rinse this out, put some deep conditioner in my hair and you guys will be seeing me with the finished product.
